The Client

Arilou Technologies, later acquired by NNG, was a pioneering automotive cybersecurity company. It developed advanced solutions to help car manufacturers and OEMs protect their vehicles from malicious cyberattacks.

The Challenge

Arilou initially operated as a technology consulting firm for car manufacturers, with a long-term goal of evolving into a product-based company. However, the transition proved challenging - both in defining a product with strong market fit and in building the go-to-market infrastructure needed to gain traction in the industry.

The Solution

We first immersed ourselves in the complex world of automotive cybersecurity, building deep domain expertise to deliver relevant, actionable insights. From there, we helped Arilou shift from services to products.

On the product side, we analyzed market trends and key automotive cyber threats to identify emerging niches aligned with Arilou’s core strengths, then worked together to define a product that offered clear, differentiated value to global automotive clients.

On the GTM side, we built a lean marketing and sales plan tailored to enterprise deals. The strategy focused on low-budget, high-efficiency execution, leveraging Arilou’s competitive advantages - including the founders’ reputation and the consulting arm’s existing client base - while also exploring early-stage channel opportunities.

The Results

Arilou’s management adopted B12’s product and GTM strategy as the foundation for its transformation.

Over the following years, the company gained global recognition for its innovation, culminating in Frost & Sullivan’s Technology Innovation Award.

Arilou was later acquired by NNG Group, a leading global automotive software supplier - solidifying its position as a pioneer in automotive cybersecurity.
